Members of the Microbiology Club of VT are available to visit schools and provide hands-on activities; Fridays usually work best, but other times will be considered. Past activities have included a hand-washing exercise, growing bacteria from environmental samples and microscopic observation of microorganisms. The club is also available to run display booths at science fairs. The advisors of the club, Dr. Ann Stevens and Dr. Birgit Scharf, are willing to give educational talks as well.
